New repair development is focused on improving customers' cost of ownership. Following are recently released CF6* and CFM56* repairs and inspections:

CF6-50 Compressor Rotor Air Duct Assembly Aft End Replacement: This new Compressor Rotor Air Duct Repair has been developed to provide the customer with a newly replaced and finished-machined, forged aft end, thereby extending the life of the part with full dimensional restoration. This repair will further extend part life by offering multiple replacements on the same part.

CFM56-5B/-7B HPT Blade Edge of Contact Eddy Current Inspection: This eddy current inspection has been developed to detect Edge of Contact (EoC) cracks in the high-pressure turbine blade shank pressure face area. This process will detect cracked blades during the repair and purge them from the fleet, helping to maintain the high reliability of CFM56 engines.
